Vista, CA, August 27, 2015 — Chart Learning Solutions, multi-award-winning provider of learning solutions was selected as the Leadership Development provider for GIBS—the Gordon Institute of Business Science, Johannesburg South Africa.
The Executive Committee at GIBS was cognizant of the integral part that their business support staff perform and the need for these employees to improve their personal leadership skills to assist GIBS in achieving business success. In addition, the downturn in the economic climate resulted in GIBS paying closer attention to their talent pipeline, ensuring that they retain their high potential employees across the school to maintain organizational stability. A needs analysis was conducted, of which the results are depicted in the infographic below.
To overcome the obstacles of time and budget, we required a blended learning solution. We wanted to ensure the offering identified would be content rich to effectively improve the personal leadership skills of our business support staff.
GIBS subsequently reviewed the CHART platform to determine whether the Leadership Development Program met the training needs of their employees. Taking into consideration the needs analysis that had been carried out by management and business support staff, the content covered in CHART’s Leadership Development Program was an appropriate solution.

GIBS was awarded the Brandon Hall Award for excellence in Blended Learning. Coaching and support was conducted by Agnes O Neill and Kate Robertson who are responsible for the on-site implementation and on-going success of the program.
